At Vitalità, your chiropractic treatment will be specialized as Dr. Nearhood utilizes various low force, gentle chiropractic techniques which are not only effective but also extremely safe. Our practice is a full service family practice offering chiropractic, massage therapy and rehabilitation. Our mission is to treat every new patient as an individual.
In addition to complete chiropractic services, Vitalità also offers the following specialties:
- Extremity Adjusting Certification (C.C.E.P) - Dr. Nearhood obtained certification through the Council on Extremity Adjusting, completing over 105 hours of postgraduate education. The goal of this adjusting protocol is to restore proper function to any joint in the human body. As a result, our practice has a high percentage of athletes at all levels as Dr. Nearhood is able to proficiently treat a wide range of sports injuries. Chiropractic will not only restore function to a mis-aligned joint but will also maximize athletic performance and reduce the risk of future injury. That being said, more professional athletes are utilizing chiropractic today than ever before.
- Neuromuscular Therapy Certification (C.N.M.T) - Dr. Nearhood also obtained certification as a Neuromuscular Therapist from the International Neuromuscular Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida. Our office realizes the importance of balancing soft tissue and posture as well as structural problems in the human body.
- Cox Flexion Distraction Certification - Dr. Nearhood is currently working on obtaining certification is this highly effective technique. Flexion Distraction is a technique which utilizes long axis traction to offer relief of chronic and acute low back pain, pinched nerves, disc bulges/ herniations, stenosis as well as sciatica.
